If there's one place where you don't want to wipe out, that place is El Frontón, in the Canary Islands. A new drone video shows the beauty and the beast behind the Spanish spot.

El Fronton is one of the fastest slabs on the planet. The A-frame peak located near Caleta de Arriba, in Galdar, Gran Canaria, is a bone crusher that will not allow small mistakes.

Often compared to Teahupoo, El Fronton breaks over a solid lava bottom, and offers plenty of barreling opportunities. If you're lucky enough to exit the tube, you can hit the lip and enjoy the biggest air you've ever pulled.

Oliver Santana Almeida, a drop-knee specialist, used a drone to capture the essence of El Fronton. The footage reveals perfect transparent rollers pumping down the line, and a packed crew of local bodyboarders tearing the wave apart.

The biggest swells of the year hit El Fronton between October and May. If you're not afraid of challenging deadly slabs, ride it at high tide with a western swell and offshore winds.
