Amaury Lavernhe: showing off his aerial arsenal

Amaury Lavernhe has conquered the NSW South Coast Mobile Challenge 2013, in the Kiama region, New South Wales, Australia.

The NSW South Coast Mobile Challenge 2013 was a coin with two faces. The bodyboarding event was held in absolutely splendid wave conditions, but it no one saw it live, in a webcast.

The organization of the IBA World Tour stage decided to run the contest south of Kiama, in some undisclosed reef breaks. There was no live feed and the world bodyboarding community was only able to check some video highlights.

Sources confirm that Jake Stone landed the first 720 in international competition and that Dallas Singer pulled perfect inverts in the secret breaks of Kiama.

Mike Stewart, Andrew Lester, Ben Player, Sacha Specker, Dave Winchester, Jeff Hubbard, Ryan Hardy were some of the riders able to reach Round 3.

In the final heat of the NSW South Coast Mobile Challenge 2013, Amaury Lavernhe beat Jones Russell, Jake Stone and Alex Uranga. The bodyboarder from the Reunion Island scored a total score of 16.78 points.
