The most successful bodyboarder of all time has been inducted to "The Bodyboarding Immortals."
The initiative founded by the Association of Professional Bodyboarders (APB) aims to honor the prolific accomplishments of the sport's greatest athletes.
Mike Stewart, 54, is the first rider to get his name in the "The Bodyboarding Immortals," the designation that will now highlight and recognize the best bodyboarders in the planet.

The International Bodyboarding Day is an initiative set up by veteran bodyboarders, vintage and current pro, industry professionals, weekend warriors, and the boogie boarding fraternity to celebrate the sport created in the early 1970s.

There are people in this world that you cross paths with that bring with them knowledge and enlightenment. The inventor of the boogie board was one of them.
I was lucky enough to spend time with Tom Morey, who enlightened me about so many things from his taste in music to the first surfing contest.
