Sumatra: Joe Clarke, Chase O'Leary, and Jones Russell surfed one of the best swells of the year

What happens when you get the chance to ride a historical swell in one of the best surfing regions on the planet?

Limited Edition continues to produce high-octane bodyboarding videos in idyllic surf breaks. This time, the company invited three riders for a trip to Indonesia.

Joe Clarke, Chase O'Leary, and Jones Russell, alongside filmmaker Samuel Rutherford, were sent to Sumatra in July to chase one of the best and biggest best swells of the year 2018.

The crew spent ten days getting barreled and airborne in all sorts of waves. The final edit is 15 minutes long and is free from special effects, a rare thing these days.

However, the bodyboarding trio found hard to get a title for the short film. They had to buy two cardboard cases of 24 beers, and a bag of salt-and-vinegar chips to come up with a suiting name.

In the end, and after long and tiring discussions, they ended up naming it "Sumatra." It's was not easy, but it has been worth it.
