Ben Player: two consecutive victories at Pipeline

Ben Player has conquered the APB Pipe Challenge 2014, in Banzai Pipeline, Hawaii.

The conditions were not perfect, but the forecast was showing unfavorable winds for the week ahead. Fortunately, the most unusual Pipe Challenge of the history of bodyboarding has been successfully concluded.

The final had four different nations fighting for the ultimate glory. Ben Player, Uri Valadao, Spencer Skipper, and Jared Houston offered a tight matchup, with multiple wave exchanges.

In the end, the 2013 IBA World Tour champion would prevail with an overall heat score of 16.84 points. Ben, who nearly reached his maximum wave count in the first seven minutes, made Valadao lose the final by 0.51 points, while Skipper only missed first place by 0.57 points.

"I'm so stoked to win the Pipe comp today. Thanks to everyone for the support and good vibes. I couldn't have done it without you," expressed Ben Player.

In the Women's final, Lilly Pollard raised the Australian flag, while Tanner McDaniel conquered the Pro Junior contest. In the Drop-Knee division, there's only one rider knowing Pipeline, and that man is Dave Hubbard.

The APB Pipe Challenge 2014 final had live scores and a humble live webcast. What's up next?
