Brahim Iddouch has taken out the 2017 Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival at La Cupula, in Chile.

The Moroccan bodyboarder defeated South African sensation Iain Campbell in six-to-ten-foot waves. It's Iddouch's second ever win in an APB World Tour event.

Brahim opened his dream run with a spectacular, unfinished ARS, but he kept pushing the limits of his riding and eventually found the waves he needed to celebrate in grand style.

"It was really difficult this year to prepare because since November 2016 I haven't been able to get too much surf because I hurt my knee. After this, I surfed maybe 20 times before coming here, and then I didn't surf a month and a half because of Ramadan," explained Brahim Iddouch.

"We have a wave in Morocco that is kind of like this, so I have a lot of confidence in waves like this, heavy waves. Going for big flips and choosing the good waves was important. The strategy that I did, I just watched the2 other riders before the final, and the approach was just to make big moves, and this worked out.

In the women's final, Neymara Carvalho used her experienced to defeat Japanese rising star, Ayaka Suzuki. Nelson Flores, a local talent, conquered the Pro Junior division.
