Chuy Silva: Mexico's bodyboarding jewel

Mexican bodyboarding star Chuy Silva has lost his life in a motorbike accident.

Chuy Silva was one of the most exciting riders in Mexico and had successfuly qualified for Zicatela Pro in Puerto Escondido, in the last season, where he posted a Perfect 10.

The cheerful Mexican bodyboarder was known for his smile, personality and professionalism and will be greatly missed in the bodyboarding world.

"It's a terrible loss at such a young age. I had a lot to do with Chuy over the least few years and helped him with visas and info regarding IBA World Tour events", explains Terry McKenna, IBA Australasia general manager.

"He was a humble guy with a strong love for his family and his sport and it's so sad to hear of his passing".

The legacy of Chuy Silva will be passed to the youngest generation of bodyboarders of his dearest spot Zicatela, the Mexican Pipeline.
