French surfer and creative spirit Fred Compagnon went bodyboarding on the snowy slopes of Piau Engaly in the Pyrenees. And he didn't forget the wetsuit.
Compagnon, who is known for riding all sorts of boards in all types of environments, created a unique bodyboard capable of sliding down powder snow and crud.
The weather conditions were picture-perfect, and Compagnon was able to test, for the first time, the unconventional bodyboard that took 15 years to develop.
The boogie board was mounted on a thin wooden board that resembled a snowboard or a wide ski. Fred rides it effortlessly and even uses the leash on his arm.
"I finally took the time to build my first bodyboard able to carve in the snow. I waited for this day for a long time," explained the surfer, bodyboarder, and stand-up paddleboarder.
"Riding the mountain bodyboarding is really creasy. I hope to get back next winter."
Fred Compagnon not only dropped down the mountain but also performed 360s, carves, and drop-knee tricks.
Now that snow bodyboarding has become a reality, it's time to develop a proper boogie board for the winter season.
