Lewy Finnegan: the photo is upside down

The second day at Duranbah was cool and cloudy but the action was red-hot in the water with some fun peaks offering competitors a great chance to score big.

The Open Men's division was a treat to watch as some of Australia's best riders traded blows in the shifty peaks. In the end it was the 4 most consistent riders in the country that booked a birth in the final on Sunday.

The semi's provided some of the best performances of the event so far. In the end it was the four most consistent riders in the country that booked a birth in the final on Sunday.

The Senior Men's was also hotly contested with some of the competitors showing that this division is still very much alive.

Here are the final four that will battle it out on Monday.

Red Dick McKenna (NZ)
White John Barker (WA)
Yellow Tim Fowler (WA)
Blue Danny Bycroft (Qld)

The Kiwi's have a real chance in Richard "Dick" McKenna and they are loving the warm water and surf at D'bah.

Finally the DK division were loving the punchy peaks and were throwing tail and wafting all over the shop.

When the dust settled it was this 4 that will wait it out for Sundays final

Red Dane Pope
White Jon Capilli
Yellow Zac Sonner
Blue Adam Rose

Overall the first two days have been awesome and we are looking forward to a big day tomorrow with the forecast of a bigger swell for the beginning of the Pro Mens.

Competition begins at 7am (Qld time) with the cadets up first.
