Lee Wilson: he won the first ever ABA Tour event held at Gas Bay | Photo: ABA

Lee Wilson has taken out the 2018 Good Earth West Oz Pro, at Gas Bay, Margaret River.

The first event of the 2018 Australian Bodyboarding Association (ABA) Tour was blessed by a rare and solid north swell that lit up the beach.

A large contingent of Australian riders converged on the iconic West Australian surf break to put their recently trained moves to the test and against the country's best athletes.

Bodyboarders like Hayato Enokido, Joseph Clarke, Kyle Ward, and Lachie Cramsie were some of the top-ranked riders who attended the competition.

But after a long marathon of hard-fought battles, the top honor went to the local star Lee Wilson.

The first ever ABA Tour contest held at Gas Bay also crowned Rio Clarke in the Women's exhibition event and Liam Lucas in the Pro Junior division.

The next stop on the 2018 ABA Tour is the SWS Mystics Pro, scheduled for April 21-22, in New South Wales.
