Pride has announced the opening of its Bodyboard Center in Anglet, in the southwest of France.

Bodyboard shops are rare these days.

The innovative 110-square-meter space will feature a retail and concept store with a broad range of prone riding boards from multiple brands such as Pride, NMD, Versus, Stealth, and Found.

"Anglet is the place where I started bodyboarding 25 years ago. For me, it's personal because I grew up and created the brand in Anglet," explains Imanol Arrizabalaga, founder of Pride.

"The opportunity to create an extraordinarily unique customer experience is remarkable. We can't wait to establish the Bodyboard Center as a place for people who share a passion for bodyboarding and its lifestyle."

The company's first flagship store will also be a board customization corner.

Pride says it's "the first 3D modeling process" in the bodyboard industry. The Bodyboard Center will also sell wetsuits, fins, and surfwear.

Pride Bodyboards was founded in 2000. In the early days, boards were hand-shaped in a small workshop in Biarritz.

Today, the brand is one of Europe's most important bodyboarding companies. Pierre-Louis Costes, Jared Houston, and Lewy Finnegan are Pride's pro team members.
