Annaëlle Challenge: deep in the croissanterie

The Annaëlle Challenge Trials will take place on the 25th August at La Palue, in Crozon, France. The best two bodyboarders win their spot in this IBA Specialty Event.

It's probably the most important bodyboarding event in France. The 2013 Annaëlle Challenge has set its waiting period from 28th of August to the 26th of November.

A total of 23 riders will compete in first rounds of four riders and final rounds in man-on-man format. Every day, bodyboarders will surf 30-minute heats.

Amaury Lavernhe is the godfather of the Annaëlle Challenge, and he will also be competing in the island off the coast of Finistère, in France.

Four locals bodyboarders (Laurent Jégoudez, Yann Salaun, Yves-Marie Le Fourn and Erwan Genre), two world champions (Amaury Laverhne and Pierre-Louis Costes), one female rider (Anne-Cécile Lacoste), three Basque competitors (Alex Uranga, Benat Elosua and Inigo Ganzarain), three Europeans (Seamus Mc Goldrick, Brice Lecomte and Antonio Cardoso) and four French men (Jérémy Arnoux, Jean Sébastien Geoffroy, Derek Crater and Nicolas Capdeville) are ready to go.

The online bodyboarding community is invited to choose one last wildcard for the 2013 Annaëlle Challenge.
