A new 2015 APB World Tour champion is in the making, as the Encanto Pro Cultura enters the third day of competition, at Middle Beach, in Isabela, Puerto Rico.

The stars of professional bodyboarding have entered the final stages of the event. Jared Houston, the rankings leader, won his Round 5 heat, including a Perfect 10-point ride.

However, 17-year-old Chilean bodyboarder Nelson Flores and Jeff Hubbard sent the South African rider home early, in their three-man Round 6 clash.

"Wow, that hit me harder than a ton of bricks. I am out of the Encanto Pro Cultura. I now have nothing else to do but sit on the sidelines and wait for the other guys to play their cards. Thanks everyone for everything, it's been one hell of a ride," wrote Houston.

Amaury Lavernhe and Pierre-Louis Costes won their Round 6 heats and are still in contention to become the 2015 APB world bodyboarding champion.

If Amaury wins his Round 7 heat against Jacob Romero, he will jump into the lead. If he wins the quarterfinals, he will clinch his third APB world title. Also, if Lavernhe loses against Romero, then Costes will have to win the Encanto Pro to beat Jared Houston, and claim his second title.

Finally, if both Costes and Lavernhe fail to win their Round 7 clashes, then Jared Houston will become the new 2015 APB world champion for the first time in his career.
