Rob Machado: the clean water magician

Waves For Water has initiated the Clean Water Couriers program to bring clean water to catastrophic stricken regions around the world.

Simple, clean water filters can change lives. Non-governmental surf organization Waves For Water is looking for 100,000 travelers to pack 10 filters each, and deliver them around the globe.

Creating these types of filtration systems are simple: all you need are paint buckets (easily found in any country), a knife to make a hole, spigots and ceramic-drip water filters that can be purchased for $25 each or the preferred community filter at $50.

Filters are compact, effective, easy to use and can provide up to 100 people with clean water for up to five years. Support Waves for Water.

Every 21 seconds, a child dies from a water-related illness. Up to 780 million people lack access to clean water. An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than the average person in a developing country slum uses for an entire day.

A German company specialized in designing and build wake park features announced the creation of the world's first floating outdoor surf pool.
