The Infinite Now: a series of cinemagraphs by Ray Collins and Armand Dijcks | Still: Collins/Dijcks

Dutch cinematographer Armand Dijcks and Australian photographer Ray Collins have teamed up to create a stunning visual artwork named "The Infinite Now."

The duo developed a series of cinemagraphs - pictures with subtle motions - inspired by waves and the ocean. The visual effect is breathtaking.

"At first I hesitated to contact Ray about the idea. Here I was, a total stranger proposing to mess around with his images. But when I finally sent him a rough example based on a low res image, he immediately loved it," explained Dijcks.

"The Infinite Now" features seven cinemagraphs, which later inspired trumpeter André Heuvelman and pianist Jeroen van Vliet to compose a soundtrack for the project.

"This has been a great collaborative project, and I hope we can expand and build on it in the future, perhaps even bringing it outside of the digital screen and into real world exhibitions or performances," adds Armand Dijcks.

Now, sit back and relax. Enjoy seven minutes of zen.
