Slingshot: FCS II in all kite boards

Slingshot has added the detachable FCS II fin system to the company's range of kite boards.

The kiteboarding brand founded by Tony Logosz and his brother Jeff decided to embed the FCS II technology in the 2015 line of kite boards and surfboards.

"We are proud to be the first kiteboarding company to add the new keyless FCS II system to our surfboards. This new system is set to become the new world standard in fin system technology and performance," explains Slingshot.

"The system itself is constructed using a corrosion resistant titanium tension rod and a rotating, wear-resistant polymer barrel that, when the fin is inserted, the barrel interacts with a groove detail in the fin to lock it into place, using a combination of downward and lateral force."

The FCS II System is backwards compatible with all your FCS dual tab fins. The new lightweight composite frame reduces weight and maintains flex.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
