La Ventana WindFest will return to Baja California, in Mexico, between January 20th-23rd.

The four-day kiteboarding and windsurfing competition invites riders to downwind races, slalom, big air, freestyle, course racing, and stand-up paddle while benefiting the local economy and encouraging the next generation of champions.

The 2015 La Ventana WindFest is open to contestants of all levels from ages 10 on up. Races will be run by the professional race director, Robbie Dean, who has led international regattas such as Rolex Big Boat Series, Kite Foil Gold Cup, and the Kiteboarding North Americans.

"We have such an amazing community around these sports and our local businesses depend on events like this. What better way to boost the economy than to bring everyone together to have fun?" says Xantos Villegas founder of the event.

"We want up-and-coming champions to experience what it is like to compete in a world-class event. That way we can help them get to the next level and build their track record."
