The list of 24 riders that will compete at the 2016 Red Bull King of the Air has been released.

Cape Town's Big Bay is ready to welcome the best Big Air kiteboarding specialists in the planet. Aaron Hadlow, Jesse Richman, Kevin Langeree and friends are some of the names that will participate in the iconic South African event.

The 2016 Red Bull King of the Air will get underway on the windiest day between the 30th of January and 14 February. The British expert and defending champion is ready to land, once again, his megaloop KGBs.

"For the last 15 years, I've spend my 'winters' in Cape Town, so it felt really special to win an event here, in front of so many friends. It was all the first time in many years that my parents got to see me live on a podium," explains Hadlow.

"I've been in Cape Town for the last couple of days and have started preparing for the competition. I use the extremely windy days to test equipment and get back into the swing of things. Then, once January comes around, I focus on it a bit more in the weeks leading up to the event."

Anyone can claim the 2016 Red Bull King of the Air. It will all come down to getting airborne at the right time, and landing the right tricks in the right spot.

The roster will be complete with the riders from the video contest entries. A panel of judges will watch the clips and pick the best.
