A kiteboarder decided to play with fire at Brighton-Le-Sands, near Sydney, in Australia.
Adam Cartmer and his friends spotted a bull shark swimming in shallow waters, meters away from the shoreline, and warned everyone to get out of the water.
Beachgoers and around 30 riders, including kiteboarder Pierre Olivier, immediately got out of the water.
But, soon after, he returned to the sea and rode his board and kite near the predator.
"You could see it wasn't going to attack. I was near it in knee-deep water. It was a little disoriented. Then it disappeared, and 30 kite surfers jumped back in the water and surfed until sunset," explained Cartmer.
Australia has some of the most shark-infested waters in the world.
In 2016, according to the International Shark Attack File (ISAF), there were 15 unprovoked shark attacks and two deaths involving shark attacks.
