KiteGen Research

Italian company KiteGen Research developed a 200-square-foot prototype kite that will produce 40 KW, at 2,600 feet altitude.

The future of energy and personal power devices is being rehearsed as KiteGen Research already is building a machine that flies a 1.500-square-foot kite and will produce enough power to feed 9.000 homes.

Founded in 2007, KiteGen Research is a privately held company, with headquarters in Chieri, near Torino.

KiteGen Research wants, together with the sister company Sequoia Automation S.r.l., to offer more efficient solutions to the severe energy shortage of the planet: cheap renewable energy, in large quantity, with no GHG emission and low land use.

Kite Gen Research owns more than 20 internationally registered patents.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
