SPI Kite Round-Up: South Padre Island is an exciting kiteboarding destination

The 2010 SPI Kite Round-Up is revving up to be one of the largest kiteboarding events of the year! This nine day long event will take place at the windy location of South Padre Island, Texas USA from May 1st - 9th, 2010.

2010 South Padre Island Kite Round-Up will host a diverse range of kiteboarding gear demos from the industry's leading manufacturers. This is your best chance to try out the latest 2010 kitesurfing equipment.

A multitude of kiteboarding contests have also been designed to bring out the highest level of riding from the best amateur kiteboarders, as well riders of all levels to challenge themselves. Take your pick of amateur kiteboarding competitions such as Big Air, Sliders, Freestyle, Downwind Races, Speed Trials, Boarder-X, SUP Races and others.

In addition to the amateur competitions, there will be kiteboarding clinics for all. Trainer kites, gear orientation, and SUP clinics are a fantastic opportunity for friends and family to become involved with the sport.

While more advanced jumping and transition clinics will be of benefit to many of the event's participants. Professional exhibitions and nighttime parties round out the 2010 SPI Kite Round-Up into one of the best and most comprehensive kiteboarding event of the New Year!

Last year, at the first annual South Padre Island Kite Round-Up, 200 plus participants enjoyed ten days of steady wind and sunshine. With the success of the SPI Kite Round-Up in its first year, we look forward to seeing many more kite boarders coming back to the island for the 2010 event!
