Ignacio Garcia: another shy kiteboarder

Ignacio Garcia doesn’t stop! This year the Chilean Nationals were held in the lake of Puclaro, located 500km north of the capital of Chile (Santiago).

Conditions were incredible during the 3 days of competition. Constant 25 knots were perfect for more than 70 riders who competed this year.

This year we had freestyle male and female, race male and female, hangtime and monster loop. Ignacio in a great final won freestyle and ended second in race.

The main surprise was Fernanda Araya who won freestyle and race! This was the first time that a rider won both divisions!

In monsterloop, rider Nicolas “Choco” Gonzalez won with four incredible mega loops!

The most controversial final was the Hangtime competition were our rider Jaime “Mad” Roessler did the longest jump but after some problems with the organization they decided that he was second!

All our riders were using the Ozone C4. Ignacio uses C4 7m and 5m, Fernanda uses C4 7m, Choco uses C4 7m and 11m, Mad Roessler uses C4 9m.

The KiteSurf Tour was sponsored by Movistar and Sony Ericsson.

Origami is the ancient art of paper folding. Kites were probably invented in China around 500 BC. Let's blend both crafts and make a simple, high-flying Origami kite.
