Marc Avella: the Spanish bullet

Another "training" day in Luderitz and another record broken. Today it was Marc Avella's turn to set a new National record for Spain.

The speed record will be officialized by the WSSRC. Sebastien Cattelan, from France, hit again the 50's with a 51 knots speed recorded.

The water in the channel was very low today, ensuring a super smooth ride for the competitors. Wind speeds were about 30 knots. Tomorrow promises to be another record breaking day, as big winds are expected from early in the day and we are hoping for a 8.15am start.

High tide is 9.30am and it promises to be an excellent morning for the windsurfers.

Now more than ever, surfers have a great responsibility on the shoulders. Here's what makes a complete, contemporary wave rider.
