Miami: a bit crowded sometimes

Kiteboarders are getting ready for the 2011 Miami Kiteboard Course Racing Regatta, a very important event to be held on the 29th and 30th January.

This regatta is open to all kiteboarders and it will be a great opportunity to boost the sport's Olympic ambitions, as it will occur near the same venue of the Rolex Miami OCR.

The intended racing area will be set on Biscayne Bay utilizing inflatable marks. A shuttle boat will be provided to and from the Shake‐A‐Leg to the racing venue. One race shall constitute a series. Six races will be attempted, all of which will count in a competitor’s final score.

On the 28th January, Friday, kiteboarders may practice and train from 16h.

Surfing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will take place in the ocean, not in a wave pool. The waiting period runs from July 24 to August 9.
