Sroka and Enguerrand: pirates of the Caribbean

Bruno Sroka and Enguerrand Espinassou have opened a new kiteboarding record challenge. For the first time, they have kite crossed the waters between Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin, two Caribbean Islands.

The kitesurfers kicked off the adventure from the Grand Cul-de-Sac Lagoon, in St. Barts, and reached their destination at Orient Bay. The voyage is 30 kilometres long, but the mission was successfully completed.

The wind conditions were near perfection. Sroka and Espinassou were granted 20 knots of wind and 2,5m waves. They were back supported by Alan Jaouen, in a boat. Bruno was the first to reach the goal. He took 57 minutes. Enguerrand completed the challenge in 1 hour and 17 minutes.

Now, the two kitesurfers want to defy others to break their course record. If you're interested in marking your name in the Caribbean kiteboarding book of records, contact them.

It's almost finals' day at Playa Llacolén. The 2018 Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival (ABF) continues in La Cupula, one of the finest boogie waves in Chile.
