Zac Andrews: that is kiteskating

The shores of Rest Bay, Porthcawl, in the UK, were the perfect stage for another event of the Student Kitesurfing Association National Tour. With 40-knot winds and 15ft swell you need more than just good riders.

The Jam format kept the majority of our 35 riders busy and even on Sunday, with lighter winds, everyone did they could to get the best results.

The best 12 kitesurfers were voted by the remaining riders, in a 30-minute final.

The Cardiff University Kitesurf Club hosted a wonderful competition in which strapped Zac Andrews and strapless Jon Cook took the main honors. The entire atmosphere was great.
