Olivier Dansin: fast and effective

Hundreds of kiteboarding fans gathered in Riviera Maya for the final races of the 2011 PKRA Mexico. Good wind conditions, hot sun and tight competition marked another splendid day in the South American beach.

Rider’s prepared their 14-16m kites and dashed off onto the water for a few close finishes and a couple of race tangles. John Heineken finished in first place, while Olivier Dansin took second place and Julien Kerneur got over Riccardo Leccese who finished 4th overall.

In the women’s division, Caroline Adrien won the event. Melissa Gil ranked second while the Spanish Nuria Goma came in third place.

In the production board class, Olivier Dansin came in first place followed by Dirk Hanel and Blazej Ozog in third place.

It was an exciting finish to the event here in Mexico as the Freestylers put on a great show to wrap up the event. Alvaro Onieva was the best kiteboarder in action while local Mexican rider, Sean Farley, came in second. Cesar Portas stood in third position of the podium.
