Kiteboarding in Portugal: windy and sunny

The Portuguese Kitesurfing Federation (FPKite) has announced the full schedule for the 2011 Portuguese Kitesurfing Championships. The official calendar includes three divisions: Race, Wave and Freestyle.

The first event will be held between 10th and 12th June, in Murtosa. The best Portuguese speed and freestyle kiteboarders will be battling for points and money.

The wave riders will show their best moves in Viana do Castelo, in the North of Portugal, along with the second stage of the racing championships.

In August, between 6th and 7th August, the beautiful Santa Cruz Beach will welcome and crown the kiteboarders that have shown optimum wave rides.

Finally, the 2011 Portuguese Kitesurfing Championships will be concluded with the last races and freestyle contests, in Praia Nova Vaga. For more information, visit the FPKite.
