Weendy: you are the forecaster

Weendy is the new real-time wind and wave app that lets you see, post and share updates from your iPhone or Android phone. Everyone is invited to share weather conditions of their local spot to let others know where and when to hit the beach.

The new "communist" app is not based on predictions, but on real analysis. Kitesurfers and windsurfers, but also surfers and bodyboarders may download and get the most out of Weendy.

Posting reports is quite simple. Open the Weendy app, tap share, tap the video icon to record video of sea conditions, tap the video icon again to stop recording, estimate wind speed and add your comments.

Push notifications alert you when wind and wave conditions meet the criteria you set under "Settings", even when you are not using Weendy. You can choose to get notified either from everybody or only from people who you follow.

The new iPhone and Android phone app is free.
