Gareth Morgan: first British Olympic kiteboarder?

Gareth Morgan will be one of the first kiteboarders to prepare for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The kitesurfer from Tenby was invited to compete in the ranking trials, at British Olympic Sailing Academy, in Weymouth. The invite-only event debuts the beginning of the selection of the rider that will represent Great Britain in the upcoming Olympic Games, in Brazil.

The Olympic ranking trials will feature all the Olympic classes and will be showcased in September and October 2012, at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

Gareth "Mogsy" Morgan has developed an amateur career in skiff racing and kitesurfing and is considered a major hope for British Olympic kiteboarding.

He works as a mechanical engineer at the Milford Haven Refinery and is looking forward to show his best skills in the upcoming Olympic trials.

The United Kingdom proves that the country is wasting no time getting the best kiteboarders ready for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
