Sebastien Garat: big airs in China

Sebastien Garat has been the best kiteboarder of the PKRA Pingtan Big Air Competition, held in China.

Big Air kiteboarding events are slowly entering the pro scene. The spectacular show is really media and crowd-friendly, as riders fly high in the skies to impress the judges.

Sebastien Garat won the Big Air contest followed by Reno Romeu, Mario Rodwald and Oswald Smith. The conditions were perfect, with great winds and big jumps out of the waves.

The 2013 PKRA Pingtan ended up crowning Alex Pastor as the new world freestyle kiteboarding champion.

Reno Romeu, from Brazil, also set the Guinness World Record for the most number of spins in a jump. All the officials and cameras recorded a total of seven spins.

Whether you think of a kite as a wing or a sail, you want it to be lightweight, resistant, waterproof, but also stiff and flexible at the same time, so that they could respond to all flight requests.
