It’s the final day of Kite-XTreme Brasil 2008, the second to the last stop of the PKRA 2008 World Tour and then it’s off to Chile on October 4.
It would seem that Aaron Hadlow (Flexifoil, GBR) is hell bent on winning the Brazilian title of the second to the last stop of the PKRA 2008 World Tour here in Piaui, Brazil.
Subject to WSSRC ratification, Robert Douglas (USA, Black Dog, Cabrinha) set a new outright world record with 49.84 knots. Second became Sebastien Cattelan (FRA, Genetrix) with 49.59 knots, also well over the old record set by Antoine Albeau (FRA, Starboard) in winter this year.
It was a phenomenal Day 1 – Kitesurfer Rob Douglas (US) goes smoking into the lead, and shatters the previous US speed sailing record with a 47.639kt run.
The fourth day of the PKRA 2008 World Tour stop in Canada, part of the on-going Festival of the Wind concludes with the freestyle double eliminations in the bag.
