Ewan Jaspan released a medium-length movie. "Behold & Sea" showcases the best of contemporary freestyle and wake-style kiteboarding.
In a time of one-minute social media videos, it is rare to see a professional kiteboarder releasing a 25-minute film. Unless you're Aaron Hadlow, of course.
For those who have never heard of him, Ewan Jaspan won the Triple-S Invitational in 2017, and the Australian Freestyle Kiteboarding Nationals.
But he is also a prolific rider in the waves and when it comes to performing big airs.
"Behold & Sea" sums up a year of adventures in Perth, Melbourne, Cape Hatteras, Hood River, Squamish, and Icapui. The film was produced by Alexander Lewis-Hughes.
"It was hard to spend time focusing on landing certain tricks for the camera and always thinking of how things looked," reveals Jaspan.
"Sitting on the footage for a year while everyone else is releasing their own short videos for social media was also a challenge."
Jaspan believes that the best riding part was shot in Perth, even though his favorite segment is the one captured in Hood River. But it's all up to the viewer to decide.
