Bill Parker has conquered the 2011 Ro-Sham Throwdown, in Hood River, Oregon, USA. The popular kiteboarding event experienced a diverse weather pattern during the entire competition. Winter has even said 'hello' for a few times.
As always, the 2011 Ro-Sham Throwdown had the participation of the best riders in the world. British world champion, Aaron Hadlow, took second place, followed by Andre Phillip and Brandon Scheid.
"The scenery here is amazing. kiting down in the river you are surrounded with the most crazy landscape that changes quickly as you head out East towards the desert. We have had a few sessions in different spots in the area and today", said Hadlow.
In the competitive Women's division, Bruna Kajiya's obstacle riding skills paid off and she won the event for the girls.
"The obstacles were incredibly fun and the atmosphere in Hood River is super good. There was an amazing turn out for girls. We were 11 out in the water. Such a nice thing to see. I'm going home with a big smile", said Kajiya.
