The 2011 IKA Youth and Masters Course Racing World Championships will be held in Douarnenez, France, from 12th-15th May. The event will include the following disciplines, divisions and grades: Youth Men, Masters Men, Grand Masters Men, Youth Women, Masters Women and Grand Masters Women.

The competition is organized by the Societe des Regates de Douarnenez in conjunction with FFVL, FFV and sponsored by Guyader. All sailors will gather at Maison du Nautisme and depending on wind direction, launching will take place on one of two beaches: Kervel or Sables Blancs.

Wind conditions should range from 6 to 40 knots and kitesurfers should expect a swell that could create some chop and shore break. The water temperature is around 10°C while the air temperature should be of 15°C.

The courses will be windward/leeward, with or without offset-marks and with or without gates. One race will be scored as long distance race and may use a different course layout, following the natural coast line.
