Four kitesurfers were rescued at Shoeburyness, Essex, UK, by the British coastguard.

The men got their kite lines tangled at the local pier, in the highest tide of the last ten years.

They tried to free themselves but were quickly spotted by the Southend foreshore team and later rescued on a lifeboat by the Thames Coastguard.

Shoeburyness is located at the mouth of the river Thames, just 46 from London.
