The controversy is finally over. Kiteboarding's Double Half Cab has been renamed.

Kite enthusiasts were divided. Some said it was a Double Half Cab, some considered it a load-and-pop Hinterberger into a backroll-to-revert. As a result, the trick's name has been changed.

Christophe Tack was the first to land the kite manoeuvre, but Marc Jacobs was the first athlete to land it in an official competition, during the Dakhla Kiteboarding World Cup 2015, in Morocco.

The rider from New Zealand was kind enough to name the trick a "Tack Flip", in honor of his professional Belgian rival.

The book of tricks also tells us that Tack's inspiration came from Lior Sofer, a wakeboarder from Rishon Lezion, Israel.
