Kiteboarding: get cover with an insurance policy

The Kiteboarding International Kiteboard Organization (IKO) has annouced the extension of its kiteboard insurance program to 21 new countries.

Beazley Syndicate at Lloyd's, IKO’s insurance partner, Beazley Syndicate at Lloyd’s, IKO’s insurance partner, can now offer unprecedented international kiteboard insurance exclusively to IKO Kite Centers.

"This insurance program is ideal because it meets all the local requirements and insurance regulations for each country specifically. What is more, upon request, more countries can be added", explains Frédéric Béné, co-founder of IKO.

The newly added countries to the list are: Austria, Bahamas, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden.

The countries previously approved to offer this insurance policy are: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and UK.

All kiting activities for kiteboarding, snowkiting and powerkiting are covered under this policy and can be applied online.
