RNLI: saving many surfers' lives

A female kitesurfer has been rescued off the North Somerset coast, near Brean Down, by the Weston-super-Mare's RNLI.

She was found with a twisted harness and was being dragged out to sea, nearly unconscious and with an inability to breathe.

The kitesurfer was spotted and lifted by helicopter to the Weston General Hospital.

Kitesurfing requires several safety procedures.

Please have in mind that you should not go kitesurfing alone. Ask a friend to monitor your session, at least in the beach.
