Long left wave of Pacasmayo expects world riders

Pacasmayo Classic: a Peruvian classic

Starboard, Mormaii and Severne Sails present the International Long Wave Cup "Cementos Pacasmayo Classic", that will be held in Pacasmayo, Peru, from May 26 to May 30.

Pacasmayo is considered one of the longest left waves in the world and on of the most solid wind spots of South America. Windsurfers, Kitesurfers, Stand Up Paddle Surfers and Longboarders are arriving to the first edition of this classic in South America.

There are people arriving from Colombia, Italy, France, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Peru confirmed at this moment and we have lots of international media, including ESPN.

The event will start on Wednesday with the Kitesurfing competition. Guilly Brandao, kite world champion, is already training here for the event. The Windsurfing Competition starts on Thursday and the actual Wavesailing South American Champion and Vice South American Champions will be there - Andres Tobar and Ricardo Guglielmino.

In that day, we will also have the Stand Up Paddle surfing competition and, on Saturday, all longboarders will join for the Longboarding competition. Awards ceremony will have lots of prizes including 3000 USD cash, plus boards, sails, wetsuits and many other accessories.
