Shawn Richman: his brother is jealous of his new boards and kites

Naish Kiteboarding has announced that Shawn Richman has joined the international team. The brother of Jesse Richman will be playing in the same regatta field.

"The Torch is the best kite ever for freestyle. So happy to be back on a real C-shape. It's better for boosting tricks and big airs and the Park is unreal for wave riding", says Shawn.

Shawn Richman was born on the 4th November 1989 in Maui, Hawaii. He has conquered the 2008/2009 KPWT world title and the 2009 IKA world championship.

"My goal is to just have fun, which is happening, so that is a big achievement for me. Injuries aside, for me the biggest obstacle has been not getting burnt out", explains Shawn.

"I know that is hard to imagine for most people, but when you kite all the time, it gets repetitive. Over the years, I have started branching out into the sports that I do so that I am not only kiting all the time. It's amazing what you can learn from a seemingly unrelated sport like MotoCross and the like", he added.
