Atlantic Beach

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), in South Africa, received this week two different calls regarding problems reported with two kitesurfers and a windsurfer.

The alert was given by the Atlantic Beach Golf Estate.

The kitesurfers had technical difficulties with their equipment and decided to paddle to shore, leaving their sails out in the sea. Very close to them was a an Austrian windsurfer who tied the sails to his board in order to carry them to the shore.

But, as it was being very hard to do the journey, he also left his equipment and swam directly to the shore, with their sails.

Fortunately, everything went well and no one got hurt. The kitesurfer got back their boards and kites. The windsurfer too.
