Sam Stinnett has taken out the Cabo Clasico 2016, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

It is strange, but sometimes it happens. The Cabo Clasico has been part of the United Skim Tour (UST) universe for quite a while. Suddenly, the Mexican venue drops out of the Tour without a clear explanation from both sides.

Nevertheless, the pro skimboarders that regularly compete on the UST series decided to travel to Baja California and participated, once again, in the iconic contest. The powerful shore break delivered. On the first days, the conditions were not perfect, but it was still contestable.

The famous Mexican peak delivered the usual plasticine wave, with its multiple shapes and forms. There were scary close-outs, perfect rides, incredible floaters, beautiful airs, and even backflips.

In the end, the classic suspect prevailed. Sam Stinnett won the final against Theodore Vlasis, Bill Bryan, and Cesar "Tule" Cortez.

"Cabo never disappoints. The finals day wasn't up to par, but we made something out of nothing. Congratulations to all the finalists, especially my brother Theodore Vlasis for pushing me every day. Cabo, you are my second home," expressed Stinnett.
