Dave Scott: I'll get that Domke

The 14th Annual Zap Gulf Coast Pro/Am Spring Skim Jam was successfuly contested at Panama City Beach, USA, between 21st-22nd April 2012.

The largest national skimboarding competition returned to Northwest Florida and showcased the best riders from around the world, with prize money for skimboarders in the Amateur and Pro divisions.

The first day of the action kicked off with small and glassy waves, but it was surely contestable. The storms came through around lunch time delaying the rest of the heats till the next day.

In the second day, Panama City Skim Jam started off chilly but turned out to be an amazing sunny day. After some bad weather, the skim went from pretty much flat to fun knee-to-thigh high liners from west to east.

The Pro semi-final heats were very close leaving Dave "Monster" Armstrong and Stephen Bradford with 5th and 6th place overall. The Pro final was action packed, ending with a tie for first place between Dave Scott and Brad Domke.

After an hour of tabulating, the Skim USA crew added up the rest of the scores and awarded Brad Domke first place over Dave by a .5 score.
