Boardwalk Blowup: hitting the Indialantic ramps

A spectacular group of skimboarders invaded Indialantic, in Florida, for two days of Boardwalk Blow-Up 2013, with shifting ocean conditions.

The Boardwalk Blow-Up is a skimboarding institution. Dozens of experienced and novice skimmers returned to the Floridian sands for a couple of action days.

In the first day of competition, there were clean, 1-2 foot offshore waves pumping Indialantic. In small wave conditions, it's easier to confirm who the best riders are.

Sunday brought cold waters and choppy conditions, but all skimboarders fought the adversities and stood out in all heats.

In the Pro Men division, Dave Scott smiled and claimed the trophy, followed by Morgan Just and Alex Hood. Siobhan "shuv-on" McAuliffe conquered the Women's title, with Libby Rendal taking silver and Jenna Congdon claiming bronze.

Roman Hager, Casey Ritzer and Johnny Chapa also won the Mini, Boys and Masters categories.
