The best Polish skimboarders will once again compete in the 2018 Red Bull Skim It, in Lodz.

Will the seventh edition of Red Bull Skim It competition be lucky for the participants? We will see that on August 25, when athletes converge on the artificial beach installed in front of the Manufaktura shopping center.

In previous editions, the best riders from all over Europe traveled to the heart of Poland, and the cool vibes transformed Lodz into something similar to Miami.

This year, the organizers want to put on an even better event. The Red Bull Skim It is the only contest in the country and in the world where cunning, strength and overall skills determine the winner.

Its formula is inspired in one-on-one duels where players challenge each other by copying previously performed tricks. The final is similar to the console video game "Skate."

So, how does that translate into competition mode? Easy: the skimboarder throws the opponent a challenge in the form of a trick that he must repeat. If he fails, he accumulates the letters from "Skim It."

The first player to collects the full expression is eliminated. For this reason, emotions are guaranteed for both participants and the public.

Current Polish skimboarding champions Dawid Pruski and Agata Kotlenga have already confirmed they presence.

In addition to the professional competition, amateurs, as well as girls, are invited to show their skills in front of the crowd. Each one of them has a chance to ride gear, and cash prizes worth PLN 10,000.

Everyone will have the opportunity to put their first slides on the water for four days. From August 22 to 26 - excluding 25.08 - the skimming pool, along with the instructors, will be available free of charge.
