Saltwater Buddha: The Film

Jaimal Yogis was tired of teenage life in the suburbs, so he decided to move to Maui, Hawaii, with a surfboard and a copy of Hermann Hesse's "Siddhartha" in his backpack.

"Saltwater Buddha" is the story of Yogis' adventure from jungle communes to zen monasteries, from the warm Pacific to the icy New York shore.

The film is inspired by the book "Saltwater Buddha: A Surfer's Quest to Find Zen on the Sea."

Featuring surfers Jaimal Yogis, Logan Landry, Holly Beck, Andy Olive, Danny Hess, and Jay Nelson.

Director: Lara Popyack
