Unsurfed Afghanistan

Forget everything you have seen and heard on Fox News and CNN about Afghanistan. It's time to go surfing in this landlocked Islamic Republic.

"Unsurfed Afghanistan" is a film by Nico Walz that documents the first surfers to ride a wave in the country.

The movie follows Afridun Amu, president of the Wave Riders Association of Afghanistan, in his quest to find surfable river waves and share the stoke with the locals.

"Unsurfed Afghanistan" breaks the preconceived fears and barriers created by the western world and shows the enthusiastic support foreign surfers get when they arrive in the arid nation.

Starring Afridun Amu, Benjamin Di-Qual, and Jacob Kelly Quinlan.
