Helen Hunt: perfect surf stance

Californian actress and film director Helen Hunt became keen on surfing, after having to improve her skills for the movie "Soul Surfer", in 2011.

She was seen catching waves several times, namely in Maui, in 2008, in Venice Beach, in 2010 and Malibu, in 2012.

Hunt was again spotted in the water in 2013 during the filming of her new movie, "Ride".

The Academy awarded actress was born on the 15th June, 1963, in Culver City, California.

She started acting as a child. In the 1990’s she was cast for the series "Mad About You", and her performance granted her four Emmy Awards.

In 1998, she won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Carol Connelly in the romantic comedy "As Good as it Gets".

In 2013, she was again nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, for her participation in the movie "The Sessions".

Helen Hunt is also a screenwriter and the co-owner of Hunt/Tavel Productions.
