Emma Stone: dropping in on the grom

American actress and model Emma Stone took surfing lessons, in Oahu, with the legendary Hawaiian surfer Rory Russell.

Stone was born on the 6th November, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

She moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 15, in order to pursue an acting career.

Her breakthrough came when she won the part of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 reality show "In Search of the Patridge Family", in 2004.

The victory led her to land various television roles in the ensuing years. "Superbad", in 2007, was her first film appearance.

Emma Stone has since participated in several movies, most notably "Easy A" (2010), "The Help" (2011), "Crazy Stupid Love" (2011) and "The Amazing Spider Man" (2012).
